Pink Lake

Pink Lake
I heard about a very different lake ,i want to share it with you,it is Pink Lake  in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. It lies about 3 kilometers (2 mi) west of Esperance and is bounded to the East by the South Coast Highway.(wiki).The lake is not always pink in color but the distinctive color of the water changes as a result of green alga Dunaliella salina, halo bacterium Halobacteria cutirubrum, and/or high concentration of brine prawn. Once the lake water reaches a salinity level greater than that of sea water, the temperature is high enough and adequate light conditions are provided; the alga begins to accumulate the red pigment beta carotene. The pink halobacteria grow in the salt crust at the bottom of the lake and the color of the lake is a result of the balance between, D. salina and H. cutirubrum..(wiki).

while searching for the Pink lake I found another one Pink Lake which is located in Gatineau Park, Quebec, Canada. The surface of the waters are a deep green due to the abundance of algae in the water.and one more in western Australia.Lake Hillier, which is on Middle Island, the largest of the islands and islets that make up the Recherche ArchipSelago, Western Australia. At first i thought that lake Hillier and Pink lake are the same because they are in westren Australia, but when i looked at the description of their location ,length and width i realized that they are quite different. the source of the pink colour has not been definitively proven in the case of Lake Hillier, the pink colour of other salt lakes (e.g., Pink Lake) in the region arises from a dye created by the organisms Dunaliella salina and Halobacteria. Another hypothesis is that the pink colour is due to red halophilic bacteria in the salt crusts.(Wiki).Another  lake Lake Retba or Lac Rose lies north of the Cap Vert peninsula of Senegal, north east of Dakar.[1]
It is so named for its pink waters, caused by Dunaliella salina algae in the water that produce a red pigment that uses sunlight to create more energy, turning the waters pink. The color is particularly visible during the dry season. The lake is also known for its high salt content.(Wiki)

After finding four lakes I thought How Many Are There On Earth?and the answer is that "There are 8  notable ones in total!
 Lake Retba (Senegal)
 Hutt Lagoon (Australia)
 Pink Lake (Australia)
 Lake Hillier (Australia)
 Salina de Torrevieja (Spain)
 Dusty Rose Lake (Canada)
 Masazirgol or Masazir Lake (Azerbaijan)
and Quairading Pink Lake (Australia).
